Voters don’t want their existing or future Medicare benefits cut even if it would help reduce the national debt, according to a new poll conducted for The Hill.
Fifty-three percent of likely voters say they would not accept the idea of reduced benefits, while 33 percent said they would and 14 percent were unsure.

Can anyone imagine how bad it could be for Medicare patients living in a Competitive Bid Area and their entire home and town is destroyed by a tornado?
I think it still is our responsibility to gather enough savings for our own medical needs or perhaps get a medicare supplement plan f at least before we go on retirement.
Unfortunately, it looks like Medicare is going to experience plenty of cuts in the future.
If the quality of care would be improved, it could mean fewer visits to the doctor and fewer hospitalization, thus would result in lowering the cost without having to apply drastic cuts on Medicare's funding.
